The Henri Nordoc range comes from vineyards near Narbonne in the Languedoc, a region in the south of France thatโs become known for producing wonderfully drinkable wines at great value. With plenty of sunshine and cooling Mediterranean influences, itโs an ideal place for growing fresh, fruit-forward Chardonnay.
The grapes for this wine are harvested overnight while temperatures are cooler, helping to preserve the natural freshness and delicate fruit flavours of the variety. The result is a Chardonnay that feels lively and refreshing rather than rich or heavy.
In the glass itโs a clear pale yellow, with inviting aromas of ripe pear, melon and hints of citrus. On the palate the wine is smooth and gently rounded, with subtle notes of quince, honey and a touch of spice alongside a refreshing mineral edge. It finishes clean and fresh, making it an easy and very enjoyable white to return to.
This bottle has the Wine Night In stamp of approval for taste, quality, and bang for buck factor.
