The Torres family have been making wine for more than 140 years, and when they arrived in Chile’s Curicó Valley in the late 1970s they quickly realised they’d found something special. The vineyards sit in the shadow of the Andes, where warm sunny days are followed by cool mountain nights – the perfect conditions for producing expressive, aromatic wines like Gewürztraminer.
This wine comes from Torres’ Andica range, which focuses on organic vineyards farmed with great care for the land. The result is a wine that really lets the character of the grape shine through. Pour a glass and you’ll immediately notice its beautifully aromatic style.
Expect delicate floral aromas with hints of rose petal and honey, followed by generous flavours of lychee, ripe peach and gentle spice. It’s wonderfully fragrant and full of personality, with a freshness that keeps everything balanced and lively.
This bottle has the Wine Night In stamp of approval for taste, quality, and bang for buck factor.
